While many of us are conscious about the choices we make, shady practices from businesses behaving badly make it hard to see the impact of what we buy. But Friends of the Earth believe they must be held accountable for any damage they cause.

  

  We’re immensely grateful for the generous and committed support of Wildflower Favours {now Wildflower Promotions}, who have been standing alongside us since 2017 advocating for a healthier, fairer and greener future. Over the years, Friends of the Earth has campaigned tirelessly for bees, successfully securing restrictions on 3 harmful “neonic” pesticides and ensuring that a national monitoring systems for bee and insect populations was put in place. Today, thanks to supporters such as Wildflower Favours, we are able to continue our fight for stronger environmental protections, securing a healthier and safer environment for people and nature.

About Our Friends of the Earth Charity Seed Packet Wedding Favour

This recycled seed packet wedding favour measures 9 x 12 cm and contains a mix of UK wildflower seeds, all great for pollinating insects!  The seeds will be inside a glassine paper sachet, not a plastic and foil one.  The back of the packet is printed with the sowing instructions and seed content.

Each seed packet is personalised with your wedding details – please advise these in the box above. 

For every Friends of the Earth seed packet sold, we will donate 10p to Friends of the Earth via Work to Go.  Friends of the Earth is a registered charity, number 281681.

Ordered way in advance of your wedding?  No problem!  The seeds are viable for a few years, just store them somewhere cool and dry out of direct sunlight.

What is glassine paper? Glassine paper is an eco-friendly and plastic-free alternative to mass-produced heat-sealed plastic and foil/paper sachets.  Unlike those sachets glassine paper can be recycled and is biodegradable.  It is also resistant to moisture and will keep the seeds dry in the main packet.

About the Seeds

There are 7 species of wildflower in this mix, which is our own bespoke mix.  The seeds are grown in the UK and are UK species only – all of them are amazing for insects!   Our seed grower keeps traceable records of their seeds and is inspected annually by DEFRA, so you can be sure you are getting a quality product.  You will get about a gram or so of seeds, enough to create a 1 metre square wildflower patch.

The seeds are Ladies Bedstraw, Teasel, Lesser Knapweed, Ox-eye Daisy, Selfheal, Musk Mallow and Wild Carrot.
