Grow Wildflowers

RHS Plants for PollinatorsCalling all elephant lovers!  This is the perfect elephant wedding favour to give your guests if you love elephants – or perhaps are honeymooning in the Far East and might be intending to visit an elephant sanctuary.  The seed packet is recycled and measures 9 x 12 cm.  It is personalised with your wedding details – please advise those in the Personalisation box above. Sowing instructions are printed on the back, along with seed content, and the seeds are in the packet in a paper sachet (not plastic and foil).  Available in rustic manilla or white – please choose from the drop-down menu above.

The wildflower seeds are easy to sow and grow and are perfect for attracting butterflies, bees and other insects.  Once your guests have grown wildflowers, hopefully they will want to grow more and create new habitats in their gardens for the local insect populations!

About the Seeds

There are 15 species of wildflower in this mix, although not every packet may have all 15, due to seed distribution.  The seeds are grown in the UK and are UK species only – all of them are amazing for insects!  Seed content is as follows (please click each one for further info):

Yarrow, Lesser Knapweed, Wild Carrot, Ladies Bedstraw, Rough Hawkbit, Ox-eye Daisy, Ribwort Plantain, Cowslip, Selfheal, Meadow Buttercup, Yellow Rattle, Sorrel, Salad Burnet, White Campion and Red Campion.

June onwards

Up to around 60 cm

Hardy annuals

Full sun

Corn Marigold – yellow

Poppy – red

Cornflower – blue

Sow onto bare soil in a sunny spot by sprinkling on the seeds and pushing them gently into the soil.  Do not cover with more soil, just water them (and remember to water when required!).  The seeds can also be sown the same way in large pots or troughs.Seed sowing instructions
