Description
Our perennial wildflower seeds are excellent as a gift, wedding favour, promotional item, kids party bag gift etc. The seed packet is made from slightly opaque glassine paper and measures approximately 8.5 x 11.4 cm. The sticker on the front is recycled. As the packets can’t be printed on, there are no sowing instructions on the back. But you literally just find a bare patch of soil, sprinkle the seeds, press them into the soil and water. So easy and straightforward!
What is glassine paper? Glassine paper is an eco-friendly and plastic-free alternative to mass-produced heat-sealed plastic and foil/paper sachets. Unlike those sachets glassine paper can be recycled and is biodegradable. It is also resistant to moisture and will keep the seeds dry in the main packet.
Not sowing straightaway? No problem! The seeds are viable for a few years and are easy to store by keeping them somewhere cool and dry out of direct sunlight.
About the Seeds
There are 7 species of wildflower in this mix, which is our own bespoke mix. The seeds are grown in the UK and are UK species only – all of them are amazing for insects! Our seed grower keeps traceable records of their seeds and is inspected annually by DEFRA, so you can be sure you are getting a quality product. You will get about a gram or so of seeds, enough to create a 1 metre square wildflower patch.
The seeds are Ladies Bedstraw, Teasel, Lesser Knapweed, Ox-eye Daisy, Selfheal, Musk Mallow and Wild Carrot.
