Grow Wildflowers

Description

Get Britain Blooming with our fabulous quirky seed packet depicting a vision of Britain full of wildflowers!  Wildflowers are so important for the biodiversity of the planet and you can do your bit, no matter how small, by growing wildflowers.  Wildflowers attract all sorts of bees, moths, butterflies and other insects and birds benefit too from the seeds.

Each seed packet measures 9 x 12 cm and is made from quality 100%-recycled paper.  The seeds are inside in a paper sachet – not a foil and plastic one!    Please choose your packet colour above.

We only source UK wildflower seeds and these seeds will be viable for a few years if stored somewhere cool and dry, out of direct sunlight.

These seed packets are perfect not just as a gift but also as a business promotional tool to promote your business’s green ethos.  We can add a logo at no extra charge, please email it over after you have ordered.

About the Seeds

There are 15 species of wildflower in this mix, although not every packet may have all 15, due to seed distribution.  All of them are amazing for insects!  They are also UK wildflower species, grown in the UK. Seed content is as follows (please click each species to find out more information about them):

Yarrow, Lesser Knapweed, Wild Carrot, Ladies Bedstraw, Rough Hawkbit, Ox-eye Daisy, Ribwort Plantain, Selfheal, Meadow Buttercup, Cowslip, Yellow Rattle, Sorrel, Salad Burnet, White Campion and Red Campion.  There may also be some wild grasses in the mix too.

Generally late spring to late summer.

Various heights up to around 90 cm

Perennial – will flower every year but not necessarily the first year

Sun

Shades of white, green, purple, pink and yellow.

Best sown in spring or autumn, find a bare patch of soil in a sunny spot and sprinkle on the seeds.  Press them gently into the soil and water.  Continue watering as required.  At the end of flowering, chop the plants to ground level and clear up the cuttings.  Alternatively, let the seeds drop first or collect them for more wildflowers next year!
