Grow Wildflowers

Description

RHS Plants for PollinatorsOur Let’s Grow Wildflowers seed packet is the perfect and easy way to introduce children to nature and to how things grow.  Today’s children are future guardians of our planet and they need to be taught respect for Nature and to work alongside the natural world, not exploit it.

The seed packet measures 9 x 12 cm and is made from quality recycled paper.  The seeds are inside the packet in a paper sachet, not a foil and plastic one.  Seed content – Corn Marigold, Corn Chamomile, Poppy and Cornflower.  These are quick-growing annual wildflowers that are amazing for butterflies and bees!  Click on the wildflower name to read more about each one.  Sowing instructions are printed on the back of the packet.

Seed packets make great party bag favours – much better than plastic tat that will get thrown away after a few minutes. These seed packets are also useful for school gardening projects or as gifts to school children to get them involved in planting wildflowers for the future.

Cornfield annuals

Mid-summer

Up to about a meter.

Annual – will flower and set seed in one year.

Full sun

Red, blue, white and yellow

Optimum sowing time is Spring or Autumn, for flowering in June/July.  Find a bare patch of soil in a sunny spot and sprinkle on the seeds.  Press them gently into the soil, no need to rake them in or cover with more soil.  Water as required.  Once flowering is over, you can collect the seeds or leave the seedheads on to naturally scatter some seeds for next year!

Delivery time can be up to 14 days plus delivery – especially during the busy months of spring and summer! If you need your order before that amount of time, please call or email – please do not add that sort of information to your order as we won’t see it until we get to you order – by then it might be too late!  Full delivery info can be read here.
