Description
All over the world, biodiversity is facing a huge crisis. So many parts of the environment depend on other parts but our world has got out of sync. Biodiversity is the variety of animals, plants, fungi, and micro-organisms that make up the natural world. Each of these species and organisms work together to maintain life. How can we all play our part in helping Nature? It’s easy! By the simple act of sowing wildflower seeds for biodiversity you can do something important for the biodiversity in your space, by providing the wildflower food sources that the insects and other creatures rely on for survival.
This packet of wildflower seeds for biodiversity is recycled and made from quality paper – manilla or white (please select) – and contains UK wildflower seeds that are perfect for butterflies and bees and other insects. The seeds are in a glassine paper sachet, not plastic and foil, so the packet and sachet are completely recyclable after the seeds have been sown. The seed packets measure 9 x 12 cm. Sowing instructions are printed on the back.
What is glassine paper? Glassine paper is an eco-friendly and plastic-free alternative to mass-produced heat-sealed plastic and foil/paper sachets. Unlike those sachets glassine paper can be recycled and is biodegradable. It is also resistant to moisture and will keep the seeds dry in the main packet.
Need to store the seeds for a while? No problem! They are viable for a few years, just put them somewhere cool and dry out of direct sunlight.
