Grow Wildflowers

RHS Plants for PollinatorsAll over the world, biodiversity is facing a huge crisis.  So many parts of the environment depend on other parts but our world has got out of sync.  Biodiversity is the variety of animals, plants, fungi, and microorganisms that make up the natural world. Each of these species and organisms work together to maintain life.  By a simple act of sowing wildflowers you can do something important for the biodiversity in your space, by providing the wildflower food sources that the insects and other creatures rely on for survival.

This seed packet is recycled and made from quality 130 gsm paper – manilla or white (please select) – and contains British wildflower seeds that are perfect for butterflies and bees and other insects. The seeds are in a paper sachet, not plastic and foil, so the packet and sachet are completely recyclable after the seeds have been sown.  The seed packets measure 9 x 12 cm.  Sowing instructions are printed on the back.  The seeds are also viable for a few years, just store them somewhere cool and dry out of direct sunlight.

About the Seeds

There are 15 species of wildflower in this mix, although not every packet may have all 15, due to seed distribution.  The seeds are grown in the UK and are UK species only – all of them are amazing for insects!  Seed content is as follows (please click each species to find out more information about them):

Yarrow, Lesser Knapweed, Wild Carrot, Ladies Bedstraw, Rough Hawkbit, Ox-eye Daisy, Ribwort Plantain, Cowslip, Selfheal, Meadow Buttercup, Yellow Rattle, Sorrel, Salad Burnet, White Campion and Red Campion.  There may also be wild grasses in the mix too.

Give wildflower seeds – help bring back biodiversity!
