Wildflowers encourage all sorts of insects and you can make your garden more biodiverse by sowing a patch of wildflowers, no matter how small. Even pots of wildflowers will do.
How eco-friendly is the seed packet? Each manilla paper seed packet is completely recycled, made from quality paper, and measures 9 x 12 cm. The reverse of the packet details the seeds inside and the sowing instructions. The seeds inside are in a glassine paper sachet, not a foil and plastic one.
What is glassine paper? Glassine paper is acid-free, completely recycled and biodegradable. It is great for storing seeds as it does not retain moisture. We prefer this eco-friendly seed packaging to the mass-produced plastic and foil/paper sachets which can only end up in landfill.
Super-organised and don’t need to use the seeds for a while? The wildflower seeds are viable for a few years and are easy to store by keeping them somewhere cool and dry out of direct sunlight.
About the Wildflower Seeds
There are 7 species of wildflower in this mix. All of them are amazing for insects! They are also UK wildflower species, grown in the UK by a company yearly inspected by DEFRA, and seeds are fully traceable.
These are perennial seeds, so they will flower every year, but not necessarily the first year.
Average height is around 60 cm. They will flower from approximately spring through to late summer.
