Meadow Seed Packet Wedding Favour

£0.99 Inc VAT

Made in Britain

Description

Meadows are fantastic places for wildlife, both mammal and insect.  Meadow flowers are important to biodiversity. Sadly, the UK has lost of 97% of its wild meadows, but …. we can all do our bit and create a little mini meadow haven in our gardens!

This meadow seed packet wedding favour consists of a recycled manilla seed packet measuring 9 x 12 cm, containing, in a paper sachet, a generous amount of wildflower and meadow grass seeds.  We do not use plastic and foil sachets in our products!  This means that the product is recyclable once the seeds have been sown.  The front of the packet is personalised with your wedding details and the reverse has the sowing instructions.  Please let us know your personalisation in the box above.  We can also personalise the packets for any event – just let us know in the personalisation box above!

Meadow areas, even little patches such as from this packet of seeds, will benefit wildlife enormously.  Butterflies, bees, moths, hoverflies and all sorts of other bugs will visit, and birds will come a-calling for the seeds when flowering is over.

The seeds are viable for a few years so if you are not using them for a while simply store them somewhere cool and dry out of direct sunlight.

By giving your guests these seed packets you are helping the environment and our declining bee and butterfly populations – grow the love and Nature will love you back!

Late spring and throughout summer.

Up to around 70 cm.

Hardy perennials.

Full sun.

A wide variety!

Clear a patch of soil in a sunny spot and sprinkle on the seeds.  Press them gently into the soil and water – no need to cover with soil.  Keep an eye on them and water as required.  Once they have germinated and flowering is over, cut the area down and remove any cuttings.  Before cutting, you could also save the seeds and sprinkle them elsewhere or create a bit of a wider patch of meadow and sprinkle there.
