Grow Wildflowers

Description

RHS Plants for PollinatorsIt is so important that children today learn to respect the environment and help to make our palnet a better place for Nature.  This seed packet is perfect for getting that message across!

Each seed packet measures 9 x 12 cm and is 100% recycled.  The seeds inside are British wildflower seeds – Poppy, Corn Chamomile, Corn Marigold and Cornflower (click each link to read more about them).  These are annual wildflowers and germinate easily, so perfect for children to sow and watch grow quickly.  Sowing instructions are on the back of the packet, and the seeds themselves are in a paper sachet inside the packet, not a foil and plastic one.

Cornfield annuals

Mid – late summer.

Around 60 cm

Hardy annuals – will germinate, flower and set seed the same season

Full sun

Red (Poppy), blue (Cornflower), yellow(Corn Marigold) and white (Corn Chamomile).

Very easy to sow!  In Autumn or Spring, find a bare patch of soil in a sunny spot, sprinkle on the seeds and press them gently into the soil – no need to cover with more soil.  Then water as required.  Once flowering is over, collect the seeds or allow them to drop to germinate a few more next year or provide food for birds and small mammals.
