The seed packet measures 9 x 12 cm and is made from quality recycled paper. The seeds are inside the packet in a glassine paper sachet, not a foil and plastic one.
What is glassine paper? Glassine paper is an eco-friendly and plastic-free alternative to mass-produced heat-sealed plastic and foil/paper sachets. Unlike those sachets glassine paper can be recycled and is biodegradable. It is also resistant to moisture and will keep the seeds dry in the main packet.
About the seeds
Seed content – Corn Marigold, Corn Chamomile, Poppy and Cornflower. These are quick-growing annual wildflowers that are amazing for butterflies and bees! Click on the wildflower name to read more about each one. Sowing instructions are printed on the back of the packet.
Our seeds are UK nspecies only and have been grown in the UK by a reputable grower inspected by DEFRA yearly and whose seeds are traceable, so you can be sure you are getting quality seeds. You will get about a gram or so of seeds, enough to create a 1 metre square wildflower patch.
Seed packets make great party bag favours – much better than plastic tat that will get thrown away after a few minutes. They are also useful for school gardening projects or as gifts to school children to get them involved in planting wildflowers for the future.
