We think everyone should grow wildflowers! A weed is just a plant in the wrong place for the person concerned, and is usually usually a wildflower plant – so grow weeds too! Wildflowers are beautiful and so good for wildlife, particularly pollinators. So the theme of this seed packet is to grow and love weeds – which is, to say, grow wildflowers! Don’t kill them off with chemicals or by hoicking them out of the ground – they serve a very important purpose in nature, providing a service for pollinators and other insects.
This seed packet is made from 100% recycled and recyclable paper and of a size unique to us – 9 x 12 cm.
About the Wildflower Seeds
The seeds in our Grow packets are UK cornfield annuals, also often classed as weeds if they pop up in a garden – Poppy, Cornflower, Corn Marigold, and Corn Chamomile. The colours are amazing! The seeds will be inside the packet in a glassine paper sachet, not a foil and plastic one. They are also available in recycled white or recycled manilla – make your choice!
The wildflower seeds we supply are grown in the UK, only UK species and from a trusted source – our grower is registered with APHA and the seeds are fully traceable. You will get about a gram or so of seeds, enough to create a 1 metre square wildflower patch.
What is glassine paper? Glassine paper is an eco-friendly and plastic-free alternative to mass-produced heat-sealed plastic and foil/paper sachets. Unlike those sachets glassine paper can be recycled and is biodegradable. It is also resistant to moisture and will keep the seeds dry in the main packet.
How can you use these Grow wildflower seed packets? You can use these seed packets for any occasion or event or as gifts at Christmas or birthdays, and also as wedding favours. Or, of course, you can buy them for yourself!
