Grow Wildflowers

Description

Say thank you to your child’s teacher with our fabulous wildflower seed packet!  This teacher rainbow seed packet contains a mix of wildflower seeds that are perfect for butterflies, bees and other bugs.  The packet is also personalised with the teacher name and your child’s – please enter these details in the personalisation box.

Our seed packets measure 9 x 12 cm and are made from quality 130 gsm recycled paper.  The seeds are inside the packet in a paper sachet, not a plastic and foil one.  Seed content and sowing instructions are on the reverse of the packet.  The seeds are viable for a few years if stored somewhere cool and dry and out of direct sunlight.

The Seeds

There are 15 species of wildflower in this mix, although not every packet may have all 15, due to seed distribution.  The seeds are grown in the UK and are UK species only – all of them are amazing for insects!  Seed content is as follows (please click each species to find out more information about them):

Yarrow, Lesser Knapweed, Wild Carrot, Ladies Bedstraw, Rough Hawkbit, Ox-eye Daisy, Ribwort Plantain, Cowslip, Selfheal, Meadow Buttercup, Yellow Rattle, Sorrel, Salad Burnet, White Campion and Red Campion.

Save bees

Best sown in spring or autumn, find a bare patch of soil in a sunny spot and sprinkle on the seeds.  Press them gently into the soil and water.  Continue watering as required.  At the end of flowering, chop the plants to ground level and clear up the cuttings.  Alternatively, let the seeds drop first or collect them for more wildflowers next year!
