Grow Some Sunshine Seed Packet Wedding Favour

£0.99 Inc VAT

Description

RHS Plants for PollinatorsFabulous Grow Some Sunshine seed packet wedding favour made from quality recycled paper and containing fabulous sunflower seeds!.  We like to be quirky and this is definitely a quirky wedding favour which will bring a smile to your guests’ faces!  The seed packet measures 9 x 12 cm  and is made from recycled manilla paper. Bees love sunflowers so these seeds are perfect as a nectar source for your garden.  When the sunflowers have finished flowering you can leave the seedheads on for the benefit of the birds – hang them from trees or pop them into trees resting on branches; hang from bird feeders or lay on bird tables.

Sunflowers are also good at absorbing toxins from the soil.  After the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl, sunflower were planted to soak up the radioactive elements cesium and strontium from the soil and ponds around the reactor area.

The seed packet is personalised with your wedding details – please provide those in the box above.  We can also personalise the packets with any text  you like, they are not just for weddings!  Again, just let us know the text in the box above. The sowing instructions are on the back of the packet.  The seeds are viable for about a year so if not using them straightaway, store them somewhere cool and dry out of direct sunlight.

Sunflowers are just about the easiest seeds to sow!  Get yourself a small pot and fill with compost (peat-free preferably!).  Poke a sunflower seed into the pot and cover over with compost.  Water and place somewhere warm and light to germinate.  Once the sunflower is a good few inches tall, transfer it to the garden.  You may need to stake it with a cane to stop it falling over if it grows too tall.
