Grow Wildflowers

Description

RHS Plants for PollinatorsThe perfect seed packet for those on a bit of a budget! Excellent as a gift, wedding favour, promotional item, kids party bag gift etc.  The seed packet is made from slightly opaque glassine paper and measures approximately 8.5 x 11.4 cm.  The sticker on the front is recycled.  As the packets can’t be printed on, there are no sowing instructions on the back – but sowing is very easy (see below)! The seeds are British-grown wildflower species, British species only, and all are wonderful for butterflies, bees and other insects.

Seed content is as follows (you may get all or most of them in each packet, depending on seed distribution):

Yarrow, Lesser Knapweed, Wild Carrot, Ladies Bedstraw, Rough Hawkbit, Ox-eye Daisy, Ribwort Plantain, Cowslip, Selfheal, Meadow Buttercup, Yellow Rattle, Sorrel, Salad Burnet, White Campion and Red Campion.

The photo below isn’t the exact mix in this packet but it gives you an idea of what to expect your little patch to look like!

Spring and summer

Around 60 cm

Perennial, so will flower every year (although may not flower the first year)

Full sun

Shades of purple, green, white, yellow and pink

From spring to autumn, find a bare patch of soil in full sun.  Sprinkle on the seeds and gently press them into the soil.  Water well and keep any eye on them over the coming weeks and water as required.  Can also be grown in large pots or troughs.

We say to allow 14 days plus delivery time for your order.  It really depends on the time of year and how busy we are.  Orders are also opened in strict order of receipt so please do not put a message on your order form about delivery as it won’t be seen until we get to your order – and by then it might be too late!  If you need your order quite soon or urgently, please call or email us and we will do our best to accommodate your deadline.  Full delivery information can be read here.
