This seed paper wedding favour box is so cute! It measures 5.5 cm square, although the top part makes them a bit taller. The box is made from quality recycled card which has seeds embedded in the paper – Spurred Snapdragon, Poppy, Daisy, Sweet Alyssum and Black-eyed Susan. It is perfect for putting a few little treats in for your wedding guests, maybe a lottery ticket, or perhaps some jewellery for your bridesmaids. You could even keep the seed theme going and put a little sachet of seeds inside. As the card is white, it is the perfect backdrop for you to decorate the boxes however you wish.
The boxes will come flatpacked in order to avoid damage whilst on their way to you. They will have double-sided tape on them for assembly and an instruction seed for assembling and planting will also be included. Ribbon is not included – you can have the pleasure of choosing your own! (We have shown the box template in a separate photo, please ignore the fact that it is not seed paper – you will receive white seed paper!)
You will have great fun putting these together for your guests!
How to Plant Seed Paper Wedding Favour Box
The paper is best planted in compost rather than directly into garden soil, due to the risk of mice and slugs eating the seeds and seedlings! The paper can be torn into smaller pieces if needed. Unfold the box so it is flat and place it on top of a pot of compost (remove any double-sided tape still on it). Then simply give the whole thing a good old water and place somewhere warm and light to germinate. There is no need to cover the paper with more compost.
