This marvellous cornfield wildflowers seed paper is made especially for us, so you won’t find it anywhere else! The paper is made from recycled paper waste and with seeds supplied by us that are grown in the UK and of native UK species – Cornflower, Poppy, Corn Marigold and Corn Chamomile. The paper colour is a very pale cream. All of these wildflowers are loved by bees, butterflies, hoverflies and other insects. The seeds have been grown without the use of chemicals.
Although the paper probably isn’t suitable for printing on (you can try at your own risk!), it can be cut into shapes for wedding favours, gifts or even kids party bags.
June to August
The wildflowers in this paper will range in height to about 60 cm.
When the paper has germinated, plant out into a big patio pot or into a weed-free part of the garden, in full sun.
Corn Chamomile (White with yellow centre)
Corn Marigold (Yellow)
Spring is the best time for planting the paper. Briefly soak it in water and then place on top of a pot of compost (peat-free preferably!). Cover with a light layer of compost, water well and place the pot somewhere light, such as a windowsill, to germinate. Turn the pot every few days so the seedlings do not lean towards the light. Important – do not let the paper dry out!
