Grow Wildflowers

Description

RHS Plants for PollinatorsChildren are the future custodians of our planet, so we need to educate them to love and nurture nature.  These party bag seed packets are a great way to start that journey!  Seeds are a far better party bag gift than plastic toys that will be played with for a few seconds and go to landfill.  With seeds, children can see the fruits of their labour and then learn about the creatures who come to visit the wildflowers.

The seed packet is recycled and made from quality 115 gsm paper, and contains British wildflower seeds that are perfect for butterflies and bees and other insects. The seeds are in a paper sachet, not plastic and foil, so the packet and sachet are completely recyclable after the seeds have been sown.  The seed packets measure 9 x 12 cm.  Sowing instructions are printed on the back.  The seeds are also viable for a few years, just store them somewhere cool and dry out of direct sunlight.

About the Seeds

There are 15 species of wildflower in this mix, although not every packet may have all 15, due to seed distribution.  The seeds are grown in the UK and are UK species only – all of them are amazing for insects!  Seed content is as follows (please click each species to find out more information about them):

Yarrow, Lesser Knapweed, Wild Carrot, Ladies Bedstraw, Rough Hawkbit, Ox-eye Daisy, Ribwort Plantain, Cowslip, Selfheal, Meadow Buttercup, Yellow Rattle, Sorrel, Salad Burnet, White Campion and Red Campion.

These seeds are great for sowing with children to inspire an interest in nature – they will find it fascinating to keep checking on them to see how they are growing and what flowers and insects will appear!
