50 Seed Paper Strips

Made in Britain

We hate waste!  The offcuts from the large seed paper sheets we use for our products has always been a bit of a puzzle as to how it can be used.  We used to cut little hearts from them but this was rather time-consuming.  So now, in a lightbulb idea moment, we thought – why not just sell the offcuts as they are so that people can do their own thing with them!  They can be cut into smaller pieces for confetti, you can cut small shapes from them for craft projects, use the strips as decoration around parcels or products – or maybe just plant them!  They also make a good project for kids to grow.

You will get 50 strips ranging in size from around 45 – 15 cm in length  (althought this is not set in stone!).  Each strip is approximately 4 cm in width – although these dimensions can vary a bit sometimes.  The strips are cut from a variety of paper types so you will get a good mix of seeds.  Some strips may also have print on one or both sides – but this is cool as it will make whatever your cut out look patterned!

Generally summer

Various heights ranging from 20 – 70 cm.

A mix of annuals and perennials.

Full sun.

All sorts!

We do not recommend planting the seed paper strips directly into the garden as they will be subject to all sorts of attack from snails, slugs, mice etc.  Instead, plant the paper on top of pots or trays of compost.  Cover lightly with more compost and water well.  Place the pots/trays somewhere warm and light to germinate.  It is important not to let the paper dry out!  Once you have plenty of well-established seedlings, plant the whole lot outside or in a bigger patio pot.
